Sinopsis / Synopsis

En medio del bajío mexicano, El Varal celebra su fiesta patronal. Pero al terminar la algarabía, el rancho regresa al vacío de sus calles, a la ausencia de los familiares migrados a Estados Unidos y vemos como los pocos agricultores que quedan trabajan sus tierras con nostalgia y dificultad. Los jóvenes se alimentan del contradictorio sueño americano, mientras que el resto trabaja en tres maquiladoras instaladas recientemente. Este círculo vicioso, se entreteje en la cotidianeidad de los habitantes de El Varal.
