Sinopsis / Synopsis

La noche más difícil de su vida, Sofía llama por teléfono a la única persona que podría ayudarla en este mundo: Bruno, un escritor sin suerte que fue, alguna vez, su mejor amor y su más fiel amigo. Entre la espada y la pared, ella le pide que vaya cuanto antes a Veracruz.

Como un héroe de sus novelas de aventura, Bruno, abandona la Ciudad de México y parte de inmediato al rescate de Sofía, la modelo real Mirna O'Hara, uno de sus personajes literarios preferidos. Lo anima una ilusión bien particular: ser el protagonista de sus propias fantasías. Sola en la costa, con el mar por testigo, Sofía recuerda desconsolada aquel largo día de playa junto al ingeniero Rolando Matute, sin poder explicarse lo sucedido: la muerte accidental de su amante.

Bruno, por fin, llega en su ayuda.

On the most difficult night of her life, Sofía telephones the only person in the world who could help her, her old flame as well as her most faithful friend.   She asks him to go to Veracruz as soon as possible. Like the hero in one of his adventure novels, Bruno leaves Mexico City and parts immediately to rescue Sofía, the real model of Mirna O' Hara, one of his favorite novel characters. He is led by a very particular dream: to be the main character of his own fantasies.

Alone on the coast, with the sea as her witness, Sofía, beyond consolation remembers that long day at the seaside beside Rolando Matute, without being able to explain the accidental death of her lover.

At last, Bruno arrives to her rescue.
